On January 13, 2024, the British television series Gladiators made its premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. This is the second revival of the original 1992 Gladiators series on ITV, which comes after the 2008 series on Sky One. Before facing off in the Eliminator, the show’s final event, the four competitors (two men and two women) in each episode participate in a variety of physically taxing activities against the “Gladiators,” a group of top athletes like bodybuilders or track and field athletes. The series consists of heats, quarterfinals, semifinals, and grand final to determine the overall winners.
The show is presented by Bradley Walsh and his son Barney. The referee is Mark Clattenburg, and Guy Mowbray does the voice-over work. Hungry Bear Media produces Gladiators on behalf of the BBC.
