Essential Qualification:

Candidates must be class 12th passed from a recognized board in any stream.
The domicile of Uttarakhand is mandatory.
Candidates must be 18 yrs old.

Exam pattern:

The Uttarakhand Forest Guard exam pattern is as follows:

Written Exam: The written exam is conducted in offline mode (pen and paper-based) and consists of multiple-choice questions. The exam is divided into two parts:

Part 1: General Awareness – 50 marks
Part 2: General Aptitude – 50 marks

The total duration of the exam is 2 hours.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify in the written exam are eligible to appear for the Physical Efficiency Test. The PET consists of the following activities:

For Male Candidates:
- 25 km walk within 4 hours
- Shot put (7.275 kg) – 5 meters
- Long jump – 4 meters
For Female Candidates:
- 14 km walk within 4 hours
- Shot put (4 kg) – 3.5 meters
- Long jump – 2 meters

Medical Test: Candidates who qualify for the PET are eligible to appear for the medical test. The medical test is conducted to check if the candidate is physically fit and free from any disabilities.

The final selection of candidates is based on their performance in the written exam, PET, and a medical test, and is subject to verification of documents.

Selection Process:

Written Exam: The first stage of the selection process is a written exam which is conducted to test the candidate’s knowledge in subjects like General Knowledge, Mathematics, and English.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify for the written exam will be called for the PET which includes running and other physical activities.
