SSC CHSL 2016 LDC DEO Application Exam Date pattern Eligibility. SSC CHSL Exam is conducted by the Staff Selection to appoint the eligible candidates on the posts of LDC (Lower Division Clerk) and DEO (Data Entry Operator). SSC CHSL 2016 LDC DEO Application Exam Date pattern
- LDC (Lower Division Clerk) – 1010
- DEO (Data Entry Operator) – 2053
- Postal/Sorting Assistant – 3527
- LDC will get a Salary of Rs.18000-22000 with Rs.1900 (Grade Pay)
- DEO will get a Salary of Rs.25000-31000 with Rs.2400 (Grade Pay)
- Postal/Sorting Assistant will get a Salary of Rs. 25000-31000 with Rs.2400 (Grade Pay)
Eligibility Criteria for SSC CHSL 2016 Exam:-
- The Candidates must have done 12th or its equivalent from a recognised board
- The canididates must be at least 18 years old and at most 27 years old to apply.
- Age relaxation of 15 years is given to SC/ST candidates who are also Physically Handicapped
- Age relaxation of 13 years is given to OBC candidates who are also Physically Handicapped
- Age relaxation of 10 years is given to Physically Handicapped Candidates
- Age relaxation of 5 years is given to SC/ST candidates
- Age relaxation of 3 years is given to OBC Candidates
How to Apply SSC CHSL 2016:
The candidates who want to apply for the SSC CHSL Exam 2016 must visit the official site of the SSC CHSL which is ssconline.nic.in. Then they must fill the application form of the SSC CHSL Exam 2016. Then after filling the application form they must make payment for application fee and submit the form. The candidates can also fill the form via offline mode.
Application fee SSC CHSL 2016-
The candidates who want to apply for the SSC CHSL Exam 2016 must pay the application fee for the same. The application fee for the General category candidates is Rs.100 while the rest of the PH and Reserved category candidates do not need to pay any fees.
Exam pattern SSC CHSL 2016 –
There will be two papers. Paper I will contain 4 sections namely General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. Each section will be 50 marks each. Duration of 2 hours will be given. Negative marking of 1/4 marks will be there for each incorrect answer. Paper II will be Skill based test in which the Typing Speed of the candidates will be tested.
Selection Procedure –
The selection of the candidates will be based on a written test (then Skill test) followed by Interview.
Syllabus SSC CHSL 2016 Tier I:
It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on Semantic Analogy, Symbolic operations, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space Orientation ,Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/Number Classification, Drawing inferences ,Figural Classification ,Punched hole/pattern-folding & unfolding , Semantic Series, Figural Pattern –folding and completion, Number Series, Embedded figures, Figural Series, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Emotional Intelligence, Word Building, Social Intelligence, Coding and decoding, Other sub-topics, if any Numerical operations.
Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting Mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage.
Number Systems: Computation of Whole Number, Decimal and Fractions, Relationship between numbers,Fundamental arithmetical operations: Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest (Simple and Compound), Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership, Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time and work.
Algebra: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations.
Geometry: Familiarity with elementary geometric figures and facts: Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles.
Mensuration: Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base.
Trigonometry: Trigonometry, Trigonometric ratios, Complementary angles, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities like sin20 + Cos20=1 etc.,
Statistical Charts: Use of Tables and Graphs: Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bardiagram, Pie-chart.
General Awareness: Questions are designed to test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially 10 pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy and scientific research.
