SCRA Application 2023 Exam Date Eligibility Admit Card Result. The application for the SCRA exam is invited by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the recruitment of SCRA posts (Special Class Railway Apprentices) in Indian Railways. Eligibility Criteria for SCRA 2023:

Educational Qualification:

The applicants should pass in 12th class with Maths as a compulsory subject along with Physics/Chemistry as an optional subject.
The applicants should have secured the minimum of the 2nd division in the 12th class.
The candidates who have passed the exams of the 1st year of the Bachelor’s degree program with a minimum 2nd division can also apply.
Applicants who passed in Pre- Engineering with the minimum 2nd division are also going for this exam.

Age Limit:

Applicants, who are interested to take part in this exam should be aged between 17 to 21 years at the time of admission. Age relaxation will be based on the rules of UPSC. For SC/ST category 5 years, for OBC category 3 years, For defense service category 3 years and for Ex-serviceman/ Military services 5 years upper age relaxation is to be given.

How to Apply for SCRA 2023?

The candidates needed to register for this exam via online mode.
The online registration process starts in the month of October every year.
The candidate is needed to visit the official website of UPSC i.e. upsconline.nic.in. to register for this exam.
They must enter their details and upload documents.
Now they must submit the fee.
All the candidates are to pay Rs 100 as their application fee
The fee can be paid via Debit/ Credit Cards/Internet Banking in any SBI branch.
SC/ST, PH, and Female candidates are not required to pay the fee.

Exam Pattern:

There is a negative marking.
The exam will be held in offline mode.
The exam will be held in 2 parts.
The I part will be a written exam of 600 marks
The II part will be Physical Science with 200 marks.
The duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
After that, the Exam of Maths is held. This exam will also be for 2 hours and of a total of 200 marks.

Selection Process SCRA 2023:

The selection of candidates will be based on the three modes which are described below.

Written exam – Written exam in two parts is held. Those who qualify for the written exam are only allowed to take part in the next stage.
Personality test or Interview – This is the 2^nd stage in the selection process.
Document Verification respectively – After qualifying for the 2^nd stage, the applicants are required to get their documents verified.
