NIOS D.El.Ed 2023 Application
Objective of NIOS D.El.Ed 2023 Programme:
- To enable teachers to understand and address diversity in their context.
- Empower them to improve the quality of classroom processes/transactions.
- Develop capacity in them to promote child-friendly, child-centered processes in the school.
- Familiarize them with appropriate teaching-learning processes.
- Facilitate them to develop leadership & problem-solving skills among children.
- Sensitize them to contribute towards safeguarding child rights.

- NIOS D.El.Ed program only for untrained teachers.
- This program is not for fresh candidates.
- There are no age criteria
- Candidates must be a teacher in a school recognized by the state/central government.
- Candidates must be submitting an assignment on time.

- Correction is not allowed after the submitting application form
- Fees are not refundable.
- NIOS D.El.Ed program is the Open Distance Learning (ODL) Scheme.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Untrained Teachers working at the Primary level (I-IV/V) having Sr. Secondary Qualification (or its equivalent)
- Untrained Teachers working at the Upper Primary level (V/VI – VIII) having B.A./B. Sc. Qualification.
- Candidate must be secure at least 50% marks in aggregate (for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates a relaxation of 5% marks admissible)
- State sponsorship is mandatory.
Improvement of Percentage at Class XII
- In case a Teacher is not having 50% marks in Class12th and 45% marks in (for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates), then NIOS Provides a chance for Improvement
- For Improvement please register at NIOS Senior Secondary Course after completion of D.El.Ed. Registration by visiting the NIOS Site Online Admission under Stream 1
- If the teacher is a Graduate still the improvement of marks at class XII is applicable
- On Passing Senior Secondary, only Mark Statement will be issued
- D.El.Ed. The certificate will be issued when you secure 50% Marks or above in Senior Secondary
Course Fee:
- Course Fee for 1st Year is Rs. 6000/-
- Total fees for 1st Year: Rs. 4500/-
Duration:
- The Minimum duration of the course is two years
- The maximum duration of the course is three years (date of registration).
