Note: UG Entrance exam is held only for some courses which are Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), B.A (Hons) Business Economics, Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis), B.Tech. (Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations), B.A (Hons) Humanities and Social Sciences, Bachelors of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education & Sports: B.Sc. (P.E., H.E. & S.) and B.A (Hons) Multimedia and Mass Communication.

DU Admission 2023 Application Form:

It is mandatory for the candidates who will be applying for the UG Programmes:

  • The registration procedure will be done via online mode.
  • The application form will be released from the second week of May 2023.
  • Candidates can apply for various courses at the same time but they need to submit the application fee for each course.
  • Applicants need to upload their scanned images (photograph, signature, self-attested ID proof, self-attested copy of caste certificate, and self-attested copy of the 10th passing certificate in the specified space)
  • As soon as the candidates submit the application fee online, the process of application submission is done.

UG admission in 4 streams of studies namely Arts/Humanities/Music and Fine Arts, Commerce, Mathematical Sciences, and Sciences under different faculties will be done on the basis of the merit list of the qualifying examination.

Delhi University DU 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

For UG Courses:

BMS/B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics/BBA (FIA)
  • Candidate should have passed/appearing 12th examination by securing 60% in four papers including English, Mathematics and other two subjects from the list of elective subjects as approved by the University of Delhi (55% for SC, ST, CW and PwD categories).
  • Candidates applying for improvement in 2018 shall not be eligible for admission.
B.Tech (Information technology & Mathematical Innovation)
  • 10 + 2 examination with Mathematics.
  • Minimum 60 % in four subjects (including mathematics), 54% for OBC, 57% for PWD/ CW category and passing marks for SC/ST.
B.A. (Hons.) Humanities & Social Sciences
  • Passed /appearing 10+2 examination.
  • Minimum marks criteria are applicable as B.Tech (Information technology & Mathematical Innovation).
Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EL.Ed)
  • 12th passed/appearing with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education & Sports: B.Sc. (P.E., H.E. & S.)
  • 12th passed/appearing with at least 45% aggregate marks (The aggregate marks will be determined on the basis of one language and three best subjects).
B.A. (Hons.) Multi-Media & Mass Communication
  • Minimum qualification is 12th passed/appearing with 75% aggregate of best four including 85% in English (for general category).
  • This course is only for women candidates.

 For PG Courses:

M.Tech Microwave Electronics
  • M.Sc. Electronics or M.Sc. Physics with specialization in Electronics by obtaining a minimum of 60% marks
    Or
  • B.Tech./B.E. Electrical/ Electronics/ Electronics and Communication/ Instrumentation Engineering by obtaining minimum 60% marks.
M.Sc. Physics
  • B.Sc in related subjects or any branch of Science or Engineering with Physics and Mathematics passed with minimum 60% aggregate marks (50% marks for B.Sc. (Hons.))
M.Com
  • B.Com (Hons.) or B.A. (Hons.) Economics Or B.Com Or B.B.S. B.B.A., B.B.A., B.I.F.A., and B.B.E degree from a recognized institution.
MCA
  • Bachelor degree (10+2+3 Scheme) from the University of Delhi with at least one paper in Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operational research).
M.A. in Political Science
  • B.A. Degree with 50% marks or any other graduate degree (Science/Commerce/Engineering etc) with 60% marks from the recognized University/institution.
LL.M.
  • A three-year/five-year LL.B. Degree with 50% marks (45% marks for OBC/SC/ST category candidates).

Age Criteria:

There is no age limit for admissions to UG & PG courses in the University of Delhi its colleges except for the courses for which age is prescribed by MCI, DCI, BCI, AICTE, and NCTE.

Exam Centres:

Usually, the entrance of DU UG/PG will be conducted in six cities namely Bengaluru, Delhi, Jammu, Kolkata, Varanasi& Nagpur.

Examination Pattern DU Admission 2023:

  • Mode of Examination: Marked on OMR sheet.
  • Type of Questions: Objective Type (except for some of the foreign languages including Persian which have short answer questions).
  • Exam Duration: 2hrs
  • Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be awarded for each right answer
  • Negative Marking: Yes, 1mark will be deducted for each wrong answer

Syllabus:

The syllabus for UG programs will totally be based on 11th& 12th standard. For PG programs it will be based at graduation level.

DU Admission 2023 Admit card:

  • The link for downloading the admit card will be released in the last week of May 2022.
  • Admit Card will be released by the DU on the applicant’s User Registration ID.
  • It is mandatory for the applicants to bring their identity proof along with the admit card.

DU Admission 2023 Answer Key:

  • The answer key for both the courses i.e. for UG & PG will be uploaded within 24 hours after the commencement of the examination.
  • The answer key will be released on the official website of DU.
  • Candidates can also request OMR Response Sheet (ORS) within 7 calendar days from the declaration of result by paying a fee of Rs. 500/- per paper.

DU Admission 2023 Result:

  • As expected DU Result 2023 for UG and PG entrance exam will be declared in the first week of July 2023.
  • Candidates who will be shortlisted in the written test will be called for GD/PI discussion.
  • Merit list will totally depend on the candidate’s performance & will be displayed after the GD/PI round

DU Admission 2023 Cut-Off :

The cut-off list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the 12th examination. Candidates securing the cut-off marks will be eligible for admission to the constituent colleges of DU.

Delhi University DU 2023 Admission:

The admission procedure of DU will be based on the Merit list of DU. For admission to BMS/B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics/BBA (FIA), etc. the 85% weightage will be provided to the Entrance test and 15% weightage to GD and Interview.
