AMU PhD Admission 2023: AMU which is also known as Aligarh Muslim University is soon going to open the registrations for the PhD admissions. The applicants who want to get admissions in the PhD courses in the Aligarh Muslim University can apply for the entrance test which is held in the month of August 2023. Aligarh AMU PhD Admission 2023
Eligibility Criteria AMU PhD admissions 2023:
- The applicants who want to get admission in the PhD courses in the AMU must have a Master’s degree from a reputed college or university
- They must have got a min. of 55% marks in their Master’s degree and a min. of 50% marks in their Graduation degree.
- The applicants who have already appeared in the NET/UGC/GATE exam conducted by the national funding agency are excused from the AMU entrance test.
Duration of AMU PhD 2023:
- PhD programme shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of five years extendable by a maximum of another one year by the Academic Council on the recommendation of RAC.
- PhD programme shall be of a minimum duration of four years, including course work for the candidates who are admitted on the basis of a B.Tech degree. The maximum period shall be the same as given in the first point.
- The women candidates and Persons with Disabilities (more than 40%) may be allowed a relaxation of two years. The women candidates may be provided Maternity Leave/Child Care Leave once in the entire duration of PhD for up to 240 days.
- The maximum period of scholarship for non-NET scholars shall be three years extendable.
How to Apply AMU PhD Admission 2023:
- The applicants must apply online for the AMU PhD admissions 2023.
- They must go to the official website of AMU which is amucontrollerexams.com.
- The applicants who are eligible to apply for more than 1 programme of PhD can apply for them but they will have to fill a separate application form for each course.
- The applicants can fill the form and must submit the online.
- After submission of the online fee, the form must be submitted there on the site.
Application fees:
- The applicants must submit the online fees via mediums like Debit or Credit cards, NEFT etc.
- The applicants can also submit fees via Demand draft made in favour of Financial Officer, AMU Aligarh payable at Aligarh.
- The fees can also be paid via Bank Challan of Canara Bank.
- The fee for the AMU PhD admissions 2018 is Rs.500.

Admission Process:
The candidates who are going to apply for the AMU PhD admissions will have to appear in the Written entrance test first. Then the qualified candidates for the written entrance test will be called for interviews.
